David and John

• David and John both wanted a beginner-friendly Java environment.
• David and John both come from education and industry.
• David used JJ in CS1 at Caltech (California Institute of Technology).
• John used JJ in CS1 at CSUN (California State University Northridge).
• David coached top US ACM programming team 2000 (Bronze worldwide Caltech team)
• John authored numerous books and received various teaching awards
• David wrote compilers for IBM, designed ISO standard language definition.
• John was chair of CS Dept at CSUN and vice-president of Metrowerks.
